To boost school-enterprise collaborative innovation and realize precise alignment between discipline construction and industrial development, Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University held a cooperation and exchange seminar with Coccolina Food Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Meeting Room 518 of the university on March 25. Han Fang, President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, Wu Youzhi, Vice President, Wei Peng, Director of the Industry-Education Integration Office, Chen Jianlan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the College of Food and Pharmacy, together with the corporate team of Coccolina Food Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., attended the seminar. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on talent cultivation and industry-education integration, and jointly explored new paths for cooperative development.

At the meeting, President Han Fang extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Coccolina on behalf of the university. She provided a detailed introduction to the university’s philosophy, disciplinary strengths, program offerings, research platform development, and features of talent cultivation. Vice President Wu Youzhi focused on core areas including food quality and safety, food nutrition and health, and biomedicine. She emphasized that the College of Food and Pharmacy is committed to nurturing high-quality interdisciplinary professionals who meet industrial needs, actively addressing industry challenges and providing intellectual and talent support for the high-quality development of the food industry.

Representatives from Coccolina thanked the university for its hospitality and comprehensively presented the company’s history, industrial layout, core advantages, and future plans. As a large modern enterprise specializing in chocolate R&D, production, sales, and service, Coccolina boasts a professional technical R&D team. Its products cover three major industrial chocolate application sectors: baking, ice cream and cold drinks, and confectionery and snack foods. The company stated that it is currently in a critical phase of transformation, upgrading, and market expansion, and thus urgently needs scientific research support and talent supply from universities.

During the discussion session, both sides engaged in lively exchanges over key cooperation topics. In terms of talent training, they agreed that building joint practical teaching bases is an inevitable trend. The enterprise will provide internships, training positions and enterprise mentors for students, and participate in curriculum design and teaching content optimization. By integrating real production scenarios and job requirements into classroom teaching, it helps students improve their practical skills and professional competence. Meanwhile, the college will cultivate and deliver talents with solid professional knowledge and practical capabilities tailored to the enterprise's needs, so as to address its talent shortage.

Subsequently, the delegation from Coccolina Food Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. visited the laboratories of the College of Food and Pharmacy to gain an on-site understanding of the college’s experimental equipment allocation, scientific research conditions and teaching environment. During the visit, both sides exchanged views on technical details concerning chocolate product research and development, and initially discussed the feasibility of jointly carrying out technical research and breakthroughs.

The successful holding of this cooperation seminar marks a new stage in the school‑enterprise partnership between Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Coccolina Food Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Moving forward, both sides will take this seminar as a new starting point to continuously expand cooperation fields and deepen collaborative levels. The two parties will build a win‑win cooperation pattern featuring school‑enterprise coordination, complementary advantages, resource sharing and joint development, so as to boost the high‑quality development of the food industry, promote high-quality employment for students, and contribute to the advancement of food health and socioeconomic development.
