The Zhi·Qin Lecture Hall hosted by the College of Food and Pharmacy, Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, held a special lecture themed Applying Professional Expertise for Public Health: Innovative Balanced Diet and Practical Application for National Health at the Academic Hall on the second floor of the university library from 14:00 to 15:30 on Tuesday, March 10. The lecture was delivered by Wang Qiaoli, a Registered Dietitian (RD) and renowned health management expert. It aimed to equip teachers and students with cutting-edge concepts of dietary nutrition and practical health management knowledge, and conduct in-depth discussions on how innovative balanced diets can effectively advance the goal of national health.

Mentor Wang Qiaoli has long been deeply engaged in the fields of dietary nutrition and health management, with a solid theoretical foundation and rich practical experience. She is not only the recipient of the Most Beautiful Dietitian (Service Category) awarded by the Chinese Nutrition Society Chinese Nutrition Society, but also an honorary winner of the 3rd China Dietitian Development Conference. Her professional competence is particularly outstanding: she once won the Special Prize in the National Final of the China Dietitian Skills Competition (Geriatric Nutrition Track), demonstrating her exceptional proficiency in clinical nutrition intervention. In addition, the 112 Balanced Diet Method developed by Teacher Wang is a practical achievement of translating professional theories into universally applicable health solutions, embodying the core health management logic of Eat wisely, stay disease-free.

This lecture centered on the scientific logic, standards, and closed-loop practice of health management. Drawing on extensive case studies, Teacher Wang shared how comprehensive lifestyle interventions—including dietary prescriptions, exercise prescriptions, sleep and emotion management, and the scientific use of nutritional supplements—have successfully helped patients with chronic diseases improve their health, and even reduce or discontinue certain medications under medical supervision. These insights vividly illustrate her philosophy of integrating in-hospital diagnosis and treatment with out-of-hospital health management, revealing the pivotal role of a balanced diet in disease prevention, treatment support, and rehabilitation promotion. The lecture empowered the audience with knowledge and inspiration to enhance personal health literacy and adopt healthy lifestyles.
