To ensure the steady and orderly progress of all work for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, the School of Food and Pharmacy held a faculty congress at 13:00 on March 13, 2026, in Conference Room 6-304. The meeting was presided over by Wu Youzhi, Vice President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Dean of the School of Food and Pharmacy, with all teachers of the school in attendance.


First of all, President Wu addressed at the meeting that the School of Food and Pharmacy would focus on clarifying the organizational structure and post responsibilities, the performance management system, the teacher management system and other key contents. Every task should have a clear responsible subject and every post should have clear performance standards, so as to form a working pattern of coordination between higher and lower levels, clear rights and responsibilities, and division of labor and cooperation. This lays a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the college's teaching, scientific research, student management and other work. For example, professional leaders are required to assist in the innovative work of their respective majors, which sets a core direction for the standardized and systematic promotion of the college's follow-up work. A dynamic adjustment mechanism will be established to continuously optimize and improve the details of the systems in light of the college's development reality and problems arising in the implementation process, so as to ensure the scientificity and operability of the systems. The college will strengthen supervision and inspection to ensure the effective implementation of various systems, empower the improvement of the college's governance capacity through institutional development, and build a high-quality teaching team with noble professional ethics, excellent professional competence, rational structure and full vitality. This will provide a solid guarantee for the high-quality development of the School of Food and Pharmacy and the cultivation of more high-quality technical and skilled talents to meet industry needs.

Chen Jianlan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Food and Pharmacy, pointed out at the meeting that all teachers should further raise their political stance, take the initiative to shoulder responsibilities, and actively participate in the preparation and guidance of various innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. Teachers should give full play to their leading role, combine the professional characteristics of food and pharmacy of the college, explore industry innovation highlights and market demands, and accurately tap into students’ creative potential. Competition achievements should be used to promote the simultaneous improvement of students’ innovative thinking and professional application ability, and strive for new breakthroughs in competitions. With the start of the new semester, in view of the large individual differences in student management, teachers should make classroom management more caring and effective in classroom teaching and daily management.Combined with the current situation of the employment of the Class of 2026 graduates, employment work still remains a long and arduous task, requiring all faculty members to unite and work together. For the employment of the Class of 2026, employment support measures should be further refined, one-on-one targeted guidance should be provided to students with employment difficulties, employment channels should be broadened, and job matching should be strengthened to fully boost the employment rate. For the internship of the Class of 2027, advance planning and layout should be made, cooperation and linkage with industrial enterprises should be deepened, and internship position matching should be optimized. All teachers should make up for shortcomings, consolidate the work foundation, jointly promote the college’s employment and internship work to a new level, and escort students’ future career development.

Later, Ji Jing, Vice Dean of the School of Food and Pharmacy, gave a detailed explanation on the reimbursement process. She emphasized that all procedures should be carried out in strict accordance with the university’s financial regulations to ensure that every fund is used in a compliant and transparent manner. Meanwhile, unnecessary approval steps should be simplified to improve the efficiency of administrative services.

Teacher Wang Yuan, Vice Dean in charge of teaching, put forward specific requirements on classroom norms including the lecture-attending system and the review of teaching materials. She pointed out that in the new semester, the college will strengthen random lectures and strictly control the quality of teaching materials such as teaching plans, courseware and examination papers. Knowledge errors and non-standard formatting will be resolutely eliminated. A rigorous academic attitude will be maintained to safeguard the sound teaching order of the college.

Teacher Niu Wei, Director of the Laboratory and Training Center, delivered a lecture and training on laboratory safety. He required all teachers to strictly implement the double-person, double-lock management system for hazardous chemicals, establish a full-process ledger from procurement, storage, use to waste disposal to ensure that every link is traceable and supervisable. Meanwhile, the emergency response system should be improved, and self-inspections and mutual inspections should be carried out to effectively enhance the rapid response capacity to emergencies, so as to create a safe and stable teaching and research environment for teachers and students. At the end of the meeting, President Wu Youzhi delivered a concluding speech. He fully affirmed the achievements made by the school in the past year in education and teaching, skills competitions, social services and other aspects. At the same time, he pointed out that in the face of the new situation and new requirements of the reform and development of vocational education, all faculty and staff should always maintain a sense of urgency and enterprising spirit, integrate personal growth closely with the development of the school, and continue to make in-depth efforts in key areas such as industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, and curriculum ideology and politics. Efforts should be made to build the School of Food and Pharmacy into a high-level professional group with distinctive characteristics and industry recognition. The convening of this faculty meeting clarified the goals and paths for all work of the School of Food and Pharmacy in the new semester and unified ideological understanding. All faculty and staff will devote themselves to the work of the new semester with full enthusiasm and a pragmatic work style.
