The School of Food and Pharmacy held a promotion meeting for the employment of 2026 graduates

To further facilitate the smooth and high-quality employment of the 2026 graduates, on the afternoon of January 9th, the School of Food and Pharmacy held a promotion meeting for the employment of the 2026 graduates in Conference Room 6-304. Members of the college leadership, program directors, and counselors for the graduating class attended the meeting, which was presided over by Mr. Chen Jianlan, the deputy secretary of the Party branch directly under the school.

At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Chen Jianlan gave a detailed introduction to the current employment situation of the college, including the progress of employment and key assistance students, and highlighted the key content and key time nodes of the college's employment work in 2026. She stated that the employment work for the 2026 graduates faced new opportunities and challenges, and the college would take more precise measures and uphold a more pragmatic style to ensure the smooth flow of employment channels for graduates.

Subsequently, counselors from each graduating class reported on their students' employment intentions, signed contracts, existing employment difficulties, and the next step of assistance plans. Professional directors analyzed the current employment situation in the industry based on the characteristics of each major, proposing to further strengthen the connection with employers. All teachers need to take the initiative and find ways to promote student employment, effectively combining bringing in and going out, expanding internship and employment bases, and providing students with more high-quality job information that matches their majors.

At the end of the meeting, Wu Youzhi, Vice President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Secretary of the Party Branch directly under the School of Food and Pharmacy, emphasized the significance of doing a good job for graduates. She stressed the need to always prioritize the fundamental interests of students and promote various employment efforts with a high sense of responsibility and mission. It is necessary to establish and improve a linkage mechanism for employment work, forming an employment work pattern coordinated by college leaders, led by professional directors, primarily managed by counselors, and participated by all teachers. Based on the characteristics of different student groups, classified guidance and targeted assistance should be implemented. In addition, the college will regularly hold employment work scheduling meetings to timely analyze and solve problems existing in employment work, strengthen employment data statistics and dynamic management, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of employment information, and strive to achieve new results in the employment work for the 2026 graduates, aiming to achieve higher quality and more sufficient employment for graduates.
