The kick-off meeting for the registration of the 2026 Municipal Vocational Skills Competition organized by the School of Food and Pharmacy was successfully held

To systematically summarize the experience gained from participating in the 2025 National Vocational Skills Competition and precisely plan for the preparation and registration of the 2026 Municipal Vocational Skills Competition, the School of Food and Pharmacy organized a meeting on January 7th to review the 2025 National Vocational Skills Competition and kick off the registration process for the 2026 Municipal Vocational Skills Competition. Directors of various teaching and research offices, representatives of national competition instructors, and teachers interested in participating in the competition gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions on core topics such as competition review, talent selection, preparation strategies, and school-enterprise cooperation, in order to reach a consensus on skill talent cultivation and event preparation within the school.

The meeting first focused on the review of the 2025 National Vocational Skills Competition. Participants comprehensively reviewed the highlights and shortcomings of the competition based on their experiences in the 2025 WorldSkills Competition. The meeting clarified that the National Competition has continuously raised the requirements for precision and standardization in practical operations such as food testing and drug research and development. Contestants not only need to possess solid professional skills but also need to strengthen their ability to apply information technology and respond to emergencies on the spot. In response to the problems exposed during last year's competition, the meeting emphasized that practical demonstrations should focus on presenting details on-site, considering the limitations of venue equipment and personnel allocation in advance, and carefully selecting competition tracks based on professional characteristics.

During the deployment phase of the 2026 Vocational Skills Competition registration, the meeting clarified the core requirements and preparation directions for food and drug-related events. In terms of personnel selection, a two-way selection between teachers and students + interview screening model will be adopted. Each track will form two participating teams, with each team equipped with two instructors and four students. Cross-grade and cross-specialty undergraduate mixed teams are encouraged.

In terms of topic selection, the meeting required that the projects should closely align with the actual needs of relevant enterprises, focus on industry pain points and difficulties such as food safety testing and pharmaceutical process optimization, and carry out intelligent innovation centered around practical job operations or process optimization, ensuring that the projects not only meet the scoring criteria but also fit the theme categories of the national competition. Regarding the issue of mobilizing the enthusiasm of teachers and students to participate in the competition, the meeting pointed out that measures such as strengthening competition incentives and optimizing preparation support would be taken to enhance teachers' enthusiasm for participation. At the same time, the high value and competitiveness of the competition would be leveraged to stimulate the motivation of food and pharmaceutical students to participate.

The meeting particularly emphasized the importance of cooperation between schools and enterprises, proposing that the School of Food and Drug should proactively align with the needs of industry enterprises. By taking the opportunity of visiting student internship enterprises, a bridge of cooperation can be built, focusing on the terminal service needs of small and medium-sized food and drug enterprises. This will promote the deep integration of competition projects with the actual industry, achieving a virtuous cycle of promoting learning, teaching, and production through competitions.

Currently, the registration channel for the 2026 municipal vocational skills competition has officially opened, and our college is actively carrying out the selection and formation work. Next, the School of Food and Pharmacy will focus on the lessons learned from the national competition review and summary, improve the preparation and training system, strengthen the practical training of food and drug professional skills and guidance on patent application, and fully promote the participants to demonstrate their excellent abilities in the municipal competition. This will help reserve high-quality talents for higher-level competitions and promote the concept of becoming skilled talents and serving the country through skills to take root deeply in the food and drug industry.
