The growth sharing session between food industry skill masters and enterprise leaders has come to a successful end!

In order to build a collaborative education bridge between the School of Food and Pharmacy, inherit the spirit of craftsmanship, and strengthen the cultivation of skilled talents, the Technology Leading the Future, Industry Building Craftsmanship - Food Industry Skill Masters and Enterprise Leaders Growth Sharing Conference was successfully held on December 19, 2025 at 9:30 in the Lecture Hall of the Graphic and Information Building of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University. Industry experts, business leaders, and faculty and students from universities gathered together under the theme of strengthening skills, promoting communication, and showcasing style to discuss the development of the food industry and the growth of skilled talents. This event is hosted by Professor Miao Qi, a counselor from the School of Food and Pharmacy.

At the beginning of the event, Professor Wu Youzhi, Vice President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University and Dean of the School of Food and Pharmacy, delivered a speech, emphasizing the important position of the food industry in the national economy and people's livelihood, as well as the driving role of high-quality skilled talents in the high-quality development of the industry, which marked the beginning of this sharing session.

This sharing session specially invited four food industry skill masters and business leaders to share their industry insights and growth secrets.

Gan Wenhua, a teacher who has been deeply involved in the baking industry for more than 30 years, has developed a vision of relying on skills and pursuing excellence with craftsmanship through his own professional growth. At the age of twenty, she immersed herself in the pastry baking industry in Shanghai. From a naive beginning to a deep cultivation, she persevered through the setbacks of competition failures and continued to refine her skills. Eventually, she won the gold medal in the National Baking Technology Competition and was honored as a Great Nation Craftsman. She confirmed with her personal experience that there is no shortcut to improving baking skills. Only through daily accumulation and practical polishing can one advance from knowing how to do to proficient and elevate craftsmanship from craftsman. For many years, the persistence in continuing to study and cultivate new talents in vocational education has vividly exemplified the craftsmanship spirit of persistence, focus, and excellence.

Teacher Gan's message: May students love their choices, cherish their time in school, absorb knowledge nutrients like a sponge, constantly improve their skills, hone their creativity and aesthetic ability. Shanghai craftsman Qiu Zhijun cleverly used the metaphor of dough fermentation to describe the path of her own skill advancement - just as dough needs to be repeatedly kneaded and precisely controlled in temperature to become fluffy and fluffy, her growth is the process of breaking through bottlenecks and tempering her mind through repeated kneading practices. She sent a message to her students: there is no shortcut to professional growth, only by focusing on honing skills, overcoming difficulties with persistence, and facing challenges with the struggling spirit; Dare to break through with a hardworking pointed gun; With the leading wind and fire wheel, we can break the waves against the wind. Anchoring the professional growth direction for students, conveying the professional pursuit and craftsmanship responsibility of striving for excellence and scaling new heights.

Xiong Yufei, a leader who has been deeply involved in the food industry for over 30 years, possesses both frontline practical experience and business foresight. Starting from the path of self-improvement of his own skills, he combines the development process of his self created enterprise from start-up to industry benchmark, from the foundation of adhering to core quality to the responsibility of corporate social responsibility, and analyzes the business logic and practical core of the food industry from multiple dimensions. He provides three guidelines for students' career growth: firstly, to cultivate a core hard skill and build a solid foundation for their career; The second is to delve into a real industrial chain and hone practical skills; The third is to draw up a clear career plan, anchor the development direction, and light up the beacon for students' career path.

Mr. Yuan Daoliang, President of Qiaonong Food, shared the growth path of Qiaonong Food from regional cultivation to national layout, based on his own entrepreneurial experience. He emphasized that adhering to the original intention of food quality and the spirit of daring to explore, daring to try, and cultivating meticulously are the codes for the development of enterprises. At the same time, he pointed out that patents are an important support for a company's core competitiveness. At the end of the event, Vice Professor Ji Jing, Vice Dean of the School of Food and Pharmacy, made a concluding speech. She emphasized that the development of the industry urgently needs compound skilled talents with solid theoretical foundation and exquisite practical ability. Professional skills are the foundation for food and medicine students to establish themselves in the industry.
